Cogswell & Harrison 28 Gauge Ejector Cogswell & Harrison 28 Gauge Ejector. This is a really great and special old gun. The original proofs are 28 gauge with 24 bore proofs down the line. There are new 950 bar proofs on the gun. The gun has original wall thickness. This is an overbore 28 gauge that should shoot like a monster. The patterns should be very good with no shot stringing... I will know soon! The action on this gun is silver with trace case colour and really nice scroll engraving. The gun has a Coggy single trigger that functions well and a third fastener. The blue on the furniture and barrels is 95% with all engraving being very sharp.The barrels are 28" with a swamped Coggy rib and bores that measure: .585/.587 and chokes:.023/.028. The bores apppear to be original with absolutely no signs of pitting or boring out in the past. Again, the 24 proofs are still present on the flats, and period correct. The stock is a straight grip with a splinter with outstanding figure and nice, clean chequering. The lop is 14 1/4" to a thin, horn buttplate.
