The action is a Merkel 147 with sideclips, a Greener crossbolt and cocking indicators. the action is silver, with floral and game scenes, very tight as new. The barrels and furnituture have 98% blue with 1 standing sight and a flat, wide rib. The bores are as new, the shot barrel measures: .665 with thirty thou choke and a 2 1/2" chamber. Fanzoi, Johann 6.5X57R/ 12 Gauge Combo Fanzoi, Johann 6.5X57R/ 12 Gauge Combo O/U. The action is tight on this combo with sideplates and full coverage game scene engraving. Both the action and the furniture are coin with 85% coverage and the engraving is very handsome and well done. There are disk set strikers and the front trigger is a set with a Kersten bolt lockup. The barrels are 25 1/2" with the twelve gauge barrel measuring: .729 and .014 choke. Both barrels have clean bores and a full length solid rib with the original open sights and claw mounts. There is an extra claw mount, probably from a previous scope. The scope is a Swarovski-Optic six power fixed that is clear. The stock is a pistol grip with a one piece fore end that is slim. The chequering is the skip line style with large diamonds, on a nice piece of wood, that is really well done. the lop is 14 1/2" to a pad and the cheek piece is a Germanic carved style. The top barrel is a 16 Gauge with a 2 3/4" chamber and a bore that measures:.764 with choke: .042 or fullest! The rifle barrel is very clean, 25 3/4" length and the front trigger is an adjustable set. The rear sight is a pop-up style with the forward sight being a small brass bead. The action is tight with a silver finish and open scroll, 40% coverage, and cocking indicators. The scope is a Zeiss Diavari 2,5 10x42 on quick detach claw mounts. The scope is clear and the eye relief good. The stock is a pistol grip with a three piece fore end. The chequering is very good with the wood being a bit plain and in good shape. W. Eblen Vierling 6X57/ 5.6X35/ 16 Gauge W. Eblen Vierling 6X57/ 5.6X35/ 16 Gauge. The action on this combo is tight on the face with deep relief gamescene engraving. The action has a Greener crossbolt and disk set strikers for all four barrels and the safety is a Greener side safety. The front trigger is a set and there is a small toggle in front of the trigger guard for switching the rifle barrels back and forth. The rear open sight is an automatic that is raised by switching the gun from shot to rifle mode. The scope is mounted on quick detachable mounts and is a Carl Zeiss with a cross hair and post reticule that is clear. The barrels are 23 1/2" and have good bores with some small pitting in the right shotgun barrel and a small bit in the middle rifle barrel. The stock is a pistol grip/ splinter that it somewhat worn with nice figure and a bullet trap in the stock for four rifle rounds. The lop is 14" to a horn buttplate and a horn gripcap, all in good condition. Both of the shot barrels measure .669 and have .033 chokes. The gun weighs 8lbs even. Ok, so here is the rub... This is the first vierling that I have ever seen that shows signs of very extensive field use...All of these are usually perfect. The finish on the scope is very worn and there are signs of pitting on both the outside of the barrel and on the extractors. This gun looks like it was used by a professional hunter for many seasons.
